Playoffs 2013 Bracket

Here is the bracket for the 2013 Playoffs. The way this works is as follows:
You need to fill out every space before the first game of the playoffs starts. Its just like an NCAA basketball playoff bracket. To fill this out you just need to post a comment on this post with what team will be replacing each number. (Ex. 1=Colts, if you think Colts will win and move to the space indicated by the 1.) Like I said, I need every number to have a team before the first game of playoffs which is the Bengals and Texans game on 1/5 at 3:30 PM.
Scoring:
Each space is worth 1 point. You most pick the correct team in the space for a point. The most points you can get is 11. When it comes down to the Super Bowl game, if 2+ people have the possibility of tying, I will need to know those people's total score for the game. I will let those people know prior to the Super Bowl game if they need to post their score. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Great season everyone! This year was a lot of fun and very interesting. We had our very first all female championship in Super Bowl III. Our champion this year is Hollie Gambrel. She defeated Allie Coulter in the championship by 1 game, so it was a good effort by both parties. Hollie came into this season as a rookie and ends the season as a Champion. She also tied for the best overall record this year. Allie Coulter came into the championship round as a "Cinderella Team". She was able to defeat two of the best Pickers in the league (Bryant and Matt). However, it was not enough to beat Hollie. Her season started off a little shakey but she was able to pull out some crucial wins to get that #8 spot in the playoffs. She had a great year even though her record was not phenomenal but she is a fighter and will continue to fight for years to come. Bryant Maxwell had a great season yet again. He was in first place going into the playoffs, unfortunately he lost in the first round. However, he still finished tied with the best record in the league. Last year he had the best record in the league. So, its safe to say that this powerhouse will continue to be a threat for years to come. Mark Wagner also had a great season. He was in 2nd place going into the playoffs, behind Bryant , exactly like last year. He came up short in the semi finals yet again. Hes still hungry for that first Super Bowl ring and I would not count him out for next year. Mark also finished being tied for the best record this year. Matt Gambrel came close, yet again, this season. He lost in the semi-final round again. He made the mistake of picking the Cowboys every week which may have been his downfall, but he is a true fan and I'm sure he will continue to pick the Cowboys every week until they or he no longer exists, which ever comes first. Brock Peek made a valiant effort this year. He competed well with Matt Gambrel, going back and forth throughout the whole season. Matt was able to get the best of him in the playoffs though. Brock ended the season in 6th place with a 163-92 record. Not bad for an amateur. David Gambrel ended the season slightly better than he did last year. He ended in 7th place, compared to last years 8th place. He made it to the second round of the playoffs and ended up losing to his wife, Hollie. His record improved a lot since last year. He had 13 more wins this year than last year. Even though his season was not the best, I'm sure he is still happy that he is married to a Super Bowl Champion. Bobby Wagner ends the year coming in last place out of everyone who made playoffs. Bobby was knocked out early in the first round of playoffs this year. Next year I will bet that he makes it to the finals because he is going to regroup in the off season, do his research, and plan ahead. He works hard to achieve his goals and he has a good chance of doing it next year. "Downtown" Julie Brown was a bit of a disappointment this year. Last year, Julie started off the season 0-16 because she missed the first week and was able to climb all the way up to be tied for 6th place and ended last year with a record of 155-101. This year she ended up 154-101 (missing one game because of the tie). So she ended up doing about the same as she did last year, but didn't miss a whole week. She's a fierce competitor and I'm sure will be in the playoff hunt next year. Finally, we have Justin Bengtson. Justin came into this league a little bit cocky. He thought he knew all that he needed to know about football to make these picks. He did not realize how competitive this league actually is. He made some risky picks that, for the most part, were not in his favor. I am intrigued by his style of picking because so many people make the easy, obvious picks, but Justin likes to steer away from the group and make some picks that are a bit "out there". This year it did not work out for him, but next year some of those "out there" picks might swing in his favor which will make him a serious threat in the playoffs. All in all it was a great season and I had a lot of fun and I hope you all did too. Please come back next year. Also, if you are interested in doing the Playoffs 2013 Bracket like we did last year, please look at the next post I put up here.

This week we have a lot of big match ups. We will start off with the LEAST interesting out of all the match ups. That is going to be 6. David Gambrel vs 10. Justin Bengtson. The reason this is the least interesting match up of the week is because Justin came in last place this year, while David came in last place last year. Both of these guys are great guys and have big hearts but they can't seem to turn those big hearts into good picks. In an interview conducted with David Gambrel I asked him how was feeling this week about his match up. His response was "Good". So we will see how this battle turns out. Also coming up this week is a true life story of The Ginger vs The Giant. For those of you who don't know, Bobby is a Ginger and Julie is a Giants fan. These two both have something very very wrong with them. Bobby has a mutation that makes him a genetic mistake that can eat souls and Julie obviously has a brain the size of a peanut because she likes the 3rd best team in the NFC East. One of the biggest matchups this week is between 1. Bryant Maxwell vs 4. Brock Peek. These two guys are brothers-in-law and like to get under each others skin. They live together, they work together, they can't stand each other. This is going to be a vicious battle and I anticipate this match up comes all the way down to the final score of the Monday Night Game. The biggest match up in the consolation bracket is the match up between 2. Mark Wagner vs 5. Matt Gambrel. These two guys played against each other at this exact same time last year. They were both eliminated in the semi-finals round and played each other in the consolation bracket in the final round of playoffs. Mark won this match up last year and I will be surprised if he is able to pull a win out this year because Matt is looking leaner and meaner than he ever has and is looking for a win after the brutal slaughter he took last week against the #8 seed underdog, Allie. In an interview with the sexy stud Matt Gambrel, we got to pick his brain for a while. I asked him "Matt, do you think you will beat Mark this week." Matt told me "I like turtles." Finally, we have a Championship match up. This match up could not be any classier. Two of the most beautiful women in the league go head to head in a fierce but friendly competition. Hollie (RG3) is having an excellent year going into the playoffs as the 3. seed and dominating her husband and her brother on her road to the championship round. Allie had to face the hardest playoff run anyone has ever had to endure. She had to defeat the 1. seed and reining champion Bryant and had to beat her sexy and talented boyfriend 5. Matt. Allie has proven that she is a tough competitor and won't let anyone stand in her way. Will Hollie (The Rookie) be able to handle the pressure of "The Big Show"? Tune in next week to find out.

Week 15 (Round 1 of Playoffs)

Red Star=Moved down since last years playoffs
Green Star=Moved up since last years playoffs
Yellow Star=At the same ranking since last years playoffs

Here is the way that the bracket is set up for the 2012 Picks Playoffs.  For those of you who did not make playoffs, do not worry you will still get to pick and will have a match up against a new opponent every week. For the first week of playoffs, 9. Julie Brown will play 10. Justin Bengtson for this weeks "Must Watch Game of the Year". Also, keep a close eye on the #3 Hollie Gambrel. She's a rookie this year and is already displaying some serious skills in the Professional Picks League. We're going to consider her the RG3 of the picks league. While Justin (our other rookie) looks more like Brady Quinn in his rookie season. We've got some good match ups this week. Like I said, we have the battle of the worst 9. Julie vs. 10. Justin. We also have 2 family feuds! 3. Hollie Gambrel and 6. David Gambrel will be battling it out this week in "The Battle of the Newlyweds" to see who will continue to compete for a chance to get to the championship. 2. Mark is matched up against the "tiny but ferocious" 7. Bobby. Mark has been a strong competitor all year, but if there is anyone who can get under Mark's skin and sneak away with a win...its Bobby. Speaking of winning, our reining champion, 1. Bryant, will be competing against 8. Allie. Allie has been struggling all year just to make the playoffs and I believe this girl has got something to prove. Don't be surprised if an upset were to happen. Lastly, we have the most intriguing match up of the week. 4. Brock vs. 5. Matt. The reason this is the most intriguing match up of the week is because these two guys have been competing head to head all year long. One jumps the other, then back again. The competition for these two has been so brutal all year, that it came down to the final score of the last game of the regular season to separate these two. Brock pulled out a lead over Matt by guessing the finally score of the Texans/Patriots game to be 55 points while Matt guessed 58. The final score was 56. Brock won by a hair and I can't wait to see what this match up has in store for everyone in the upcoming week.

Week 14 Picks

Please post your picks by commenting on this Post or you can e-mail me at cowchtatr12@gmail.com. For this week, I need everyone to submit and Total Score for the Monday night game. Because this is the last game of the regular season for picks, there can be no ties. By total score I mean the combined score of both teams. For example, if you think the score of the Monday night game will be 27-13, you would put 40 as the score for yourself. Please let me know if you have any questions.
