Hello all and welcome back for another great season of NFL Picks. I appreciate all of you who have decided to join us again this year along with the new players. We have 4 rookies this year Jeff, John, Scott, and Michael. Jeff Malone 6'2 180 lbs comes in as a fierce competitor. He has never played in our picks league before and has already started off tied for 1st place. He already has his eye on the "Rookie of the Year" trophy. Is it "beginner's luck" or will we be seeing him in the championship? Only time will tell. John Conner is also a rookie this year. Texas Tech graduate, so you know he is a strong willed young man, extremely competitive, and easy on the eyes. He is a handsome 5'10 baseball player, but decided to hang up his baseball cleats to play some picks with us this year. Don't jump all over him just yet ladies! John started this year with a 10-6 record and tied for 6th place right now. If he has any shot of winning this league and getting laid, he definitely needs to pick it up. This is also Scott Gambrel's 1st year in the league. I know everyone is thinking "Oh no another Gambrel, they seem to dominate this league every year. At least one of them finishes in the top 3 every year." But don't worry guys, you have nothing to worry about. Much like Scott's fantasy football draft skills and trade decision making skills, he is terrible at picks. He has started off the year with a 8-8 record. Not the way you want to start off your rookie season. Lastly, out of all the rookies, I have saved the best for last. Coming in a 5'9, weighing about 75 lbs, the best looking hair in the ginger community, Michael Vannucci. Michael has started off the year with a 1-15 record. you may think that Michael is bad, but unfortunately I forgot to remind Michael about the picks league so he was only able to submit the two Monday games. I am sure he will be a playoff contender by year's end. Bryant Maxwell is a seasoned veteran at Picks. No surprise he has started out the year tied for 1st place. He is always near the top of the leaderboard and probably would have won the whole league if he had not lost in the first round of the playoffs last year by 1 game. Mark Wagner is another MVP candidate. He finished the regular season in the number 2 position last year but lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs to the champion of the league (his sister). Matt Gambrel, unsurprisingly, is near the top of the leader boards. He is only trailing the leaders by a single game. Matt is always near the top of the boards because he is amazing at picks and always picks the Cowboys!. Of course, Brock Peek is tied with Matt yet again. All of last year Brock and Matt had almost identical records all year. They ended up tied at the end of the regular season and had to pick the score of the last game of the regular season to decided the tie breaker. Brock ended up winning the tie breaker and had to face Matt in the first round of the playoffs where Matt took a big ole dump on him. David Gambrel is in the middle of the pack again. He always seems to put himself in this position every year. He never finishes very high but always makes the playoffs. I doubt we will see any surprises from David this year because he is just too average. Hollie Gambrel has no problem being tied with her husband at this point in the year. Hollie was the champion of the league last year (as a rookie). She dominated the playoffs and is looking for a repeat. Keep an eye on this girl because she walks all over David and will walk all over any other man that gets in her way. Bobby Wagner is a special human being. For those of you who do not know, Bobby suffers from gingervitis. Symptoms include: ugliness, no friends, height challenged, and loneliness. Even with all this Bobby is still a happy person, but sucks at picks. He came in 7th place last year at the end of the regular season and lost in the first round of the playoffs. He is my best friend and one fast son of a bitch, so before you know it, he just might be passing you. Last but certainly not least, he have the one...the only...Downtown Julie Brown. This is Julie's 3rd year in the league. She came into the league with alot of flair. She showed all the boys that a girl can do pretty well in picks. However, last year was a different story. She came in 2nd to last place. My theory is that she does as well as her favorite team does. Since her New York Giants are terrible, I assume she will also be terrible this year. Good luck everyone and lets have a great year of Picks!

Sincerely,
Commish H.H. Matt Gambrel
